Heartland Christian Center is a part of the Assemblies of God cooperative fellowship. The Assemblies of God is a protestant fellowship with an emphasis on Pentecost and evangelism. This sermon, based on Galatians 5:22-23, explores the purpose, process, and proof of the fruit of the Spirit in a believer's life. The purpose of the fruit is to reflect Christ, make us more like Jesus, and serve others. The process requires abiding in Christ, as fruit takes time to grow. The proof of spiritual fruit is seen in staying connected to the Holy Spirit, allowing God to prune us, and actively cultivating spiritual growth. True transformation comes through consistent reliance on Christ.
